Norman Brooks, MD, operates his own private practice in Encino, California, where he explores new skin cancer treatments and techniques to improve patient outcomes. His work at the clinic focuses on advanced procedures that treat skin cancer while minimizing tissue damage and reducing the occurrence of disfiguring scars. Treatments offered by Dr. Norman Brooks include a refined Mohs micrographic surgical technique which provide highest cure rates and excellent cosmetic results.

Dr. Brooks trained under Frederic e. Mohs, M.D. responsible for the development of the Mohs technique and has attained certification through the American College of Mohs Surgery. Additionally, he has conducted extensive research on malignant melanoma and produced numerous articles and presentations on the condition. Also certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology with a special competence in dermatopathology, Norman Brooks, MD, is a Fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology, a member of The American College of Mohs Surgery, a member of the San Fernando Valley Dermatological Society, a past Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine where he received Outstanding Teaching Award, and is a founding member of the Amonette Circle of The Skin Cancer Foundation.
